Fun Fact Friday!

Would you rather play an instrument using water or fire?

Hydraulophone (water)Pyrophone (fire)
To play the instrument, one must block the flow of water through a particular hole in order to sound a particular note. The use of water jets striking perforated spinning disks, shafts, or valves, produces sound. This instrument produces sound by using flames within glass tubes or metal pipes. The heat from the flames causes the air inside the tubes to vibrate, creating musical notes.
