Piano Lessons
Whether you aspire to play Bach or Alicia Keys, Lutherville Music School's dedicated piano instructors will help you become the pianist you want to be. Our faculty will introduce you to the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You do not need a piano at home to take lessons; a simple full-size electronic keyboard will suffice. We tailor our lessons to each individual student's needs and preferences, and encourage students to learn their favorite tunes.

We teach all styles, from rock, pop and jazz to country, blues and classical.
How qualified are your piano instructors?
Our piano and music instructors have or are earning bachelor's degrees in music and are in bands that regularly play shows, write, and record their own music. Many have toured the US and Europe, and bring professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons.

Do I have to know how to read music?
No. Beginners are welcome!
Do I need a piano to learn the instrument?
No, you do not need a piano at home to take lessons. A simple full size electronic keyboard will suffice for the first 6 months. It's very inexpensive to start piano. Music Go Round has great deals on keyboards and all of the accessories you will need. We also rent a variety of instruments appropriate for beginners, starting at just $40.00/month.
Are there piano recitals?
Absolutely! Every few months our instructors hold recitals and encourage all students to play. Lutherville Music School is a performance based school, and we believe that performing is one of the best ways to grow as a musician. Students can perform in our recital hall with our Yamaha grand piano, or join a band and perform at local music venues. Admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends!

Pricing
$150 / Month
Lessons are available seven days a week, and scheduled once a week. Each lesson is 30 minutes in length.
