Saturday, October 28th Best Green Day Bass Fills of the 90s at 1:00pm with Drew Wright
The 90s were the golden age of Green Day basslines! Mike Dirnt was all about chord arpeggiation and connecting chords with both chromatic and diatonic passing tones, and these low frequency melodic features made Green Day stand out among other 90s pop punk bands. After a brief explanation of scale and chord theory, we will learn and analyze classic bass lines from songs like When I Come Around, Welcome to Paradise, Longview, No One Knows, Stuck with Me, 80, The One I Want, and more!
